Sixteen Republican members of Congress are asking the General Services Administration (GSA) to reevaluate a $700 billion contract with Citibank as a result of the bank’s anti-gun policies.

The congressmen sent a letter, authored by Rep. Todd Rokita (R-IN), to GSA Administrator Emily Murphy on Wednesday. They ask her to terminate the contract based on the company’s new restrictions on firearms retailers.

Among the signatories of the letter are Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) – who is running for Senate against Heidi Heitkamp, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Rep. Steve King (R-IA), Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL). Rokita is also running in a top-tier Senate campaign against Joe Donnelly.

“This flagrant disregard for American citizens and their God-given Second Amendment rights cannot be tolerated,” Rokita said in a statement to The Daily Caller.

“Those who seek to undermine those God-given rights do not deserve taxpayer dollars and should be denied federal contracts. Congress has sworn to uphold the Constitution, and it is paramount that we stand united for the American people and their right to bear arms,” said Rokita.

Last month, Citibank announced that it would only work with gun retailers that raised their firearms purchase age to 21, banned any accessories that made semi-automatic rifles fire faster and did not sell any magazines with a capacity of over ten rounds. Bank of America has announced additional restrictions on gun manufacturers.
